Iowa crops continue to take a pounding from the persistent thunderstorms andrain. Worth County extension director, Dennis Johnson, says many farmers areturning to soybeans after their corn got washed out.Johnson says some farmers have replanted their corn, but time is runningout.He isn’t ready to give up on having good crop yields depsite the weather. Hesays it all depends on what happens the rest of June.Johnson says soil erosion has been a problem for farmers in many areas ofthe state.
