The deadline for Iowa cities and counties to sign up for federal disasterassistance is tomorrow. Fifteen Iowa counties were declared federal disasterareas following the storms and flooding in May. Federal Emergency ManagementAgency spokesman Joe Klocek says many local governments have already turnedin their paperwork.The deadline for getting individual disaster assistance is July 20th. Kloceksays over 27-hundred people have applied already. To apply for individual assistance, call 1-800-462-9029.
