The Iowa Highway Patrol says the driver of a mobile meth lab that explodedon interstate 80 today may be in grave danger. State Trooper Bob Kinsethsays the driver dropped two burned colleagues off near Brooklyn and has notbeen seen since. Kinseth says it’s important to find the man.Doctor David Cranston of the Grinell Regional Medical Center treated the twomen who were dropped off. He says they suffered severe burns. Cranstonsays the driver of the vehicle could have similar injuries that could befatal without treatment.Trooper Mark Davis speculated about how the meth lab exploded. He says theyprobably didn’t properly vent the anhydrous tank used in making the methand the tank likely exploded.The missing vehicle is a blue and white chevy blazer with the license platenumber 5-2-3-G-K-N. The patrol says if you see the vehicle you should notapproach it, but should contact the nearest law enforcement agency. The twomen who were dropped off were treated in Grinell and then transfered to theUniversity of Iowa burn center in Iowa City.
