Two Iowa law officers are back in the Hawkeye State after three months ofspecial training in Washington D-C. Webster City Police Chief Tom Wardlow andAppanoose County Sheriff’s Deputy Gary Anderson were chosen for the F-B-INational Academy. Chief Wardlow says some 270 law officers took part in thetraining.Wardlow says the course focused on three areas — education, physicaltraining and professional networking with other law officers. He says it wasintensive training.Twenty-seven nations were represented at the Academy and Wardlow says manyof the foreign law officers faced the same problems as their Americancounterparts.He says most of the foreign officers commented the U-S is a dangerous placefor a law officer to work.
