The 30th meeting between Iowa and Northern Iowa is tonight in the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. The Hawkeyes are 4-3 after winning their own tournament over the weekend. The Panthers are off to their best start since 1963 at 6-0 and coach Sam Weaver says it has been an enjoyable start.Weaver says Iowa is off to a good start under new coach Steve Alford.Weaver says the Hawks’ Jacob Jaacks will provide some matchup problems.Iowa coach Steve Alford says slowing down Panther guard Robbie Sieverding will be a chore.Alford says the Hawkeyes will face a team with a lot of confidence.Alford says the key in the Panthers early success has been a bigger presence inside.Alford says the game will provide some interesting matchups, because his team goes with three guards and two forwards, while UNI goes with two guards, two forwards and a center.
