The Iowa State women take on Penn State tomorrow night in the semifinal round of the NCAA basketball tournament. Cyclone coach Bill Fennelly says the team’s past experience is helping them get ready for this game.Penn State won the Big Ten conference regular season championship, while Iowa State tied for first in the Big Twelve. Fennelly says the conference rivarly does play a part in the game as his team wants to be a good representative for the conference. He says it could also impact the number of NCAA bids the conference gets in the future. There were six Big Twelve teams chosen for the tournament this year. Fennelly says the spotlight will be on the point guard Stacy Frese and her counterpart, Helen Darling, at Penn State.He says the Cyclones need to stop a potent Penn State offense.Iowa State plays the second game of the night in Kansas City with the tip off Saturday scheduled for around 9:30.
