People who can’t wait for the gates to open at the Iowa State Fair can get a sneak preview tonight. Tickets are selling for 30-dollars to the Corn Dog Kickoff Benefit Auction and Fair Food Grazing Party.Amy Houston is assistant director of the Fair’s Blue Ribbon Foundation, which funnels all of its funding back into making improvements at the fairgrounds. Houston says all sorts of things will be put up for bids.Auction items include tickets to grandstand shows and a chance to help build the famous butter cow.The event is open to the public and begins at 6:30 tonight.
