There’s been an important break in the state of Iowa’s case against a cellular phone company. U-S Cellular’s lawyers claimed their company couldn’t be dragged into a state court. Bob Brammer, a spokesman for Iowa’s Attorney General, says federal judges in Cedar Rapids and Des Moines have ruled otherwise.Brammer says U-S Cellular violated Iowa consumer protection lawsBrammer says U-S Cellular used mis-leading advertising and inducements to sign up. Brammer says the company also charged fees of up to 300-dollars when customers tried to get out of contracts. The state’s lawsuit against U-S Cellular was originally filed in April.
