Davenport police have caught up with a Nebraska couple wanted in a series of home repair scams in eastern Iowa. 34-year-old Linda Mattenkloudt and 33-year-old Eugene Harding of Hebron, Nebraska are charged with ripping off an elderly Davenport woman, but they’re also wanted for scams in Dubuque, Johnson and Tama counties. The allegedly agreed to trim the trees of the 85-year-old woman for 135 dollars but later demanded 350 dollars in cash for a lifetime guarantee. The woman asked how she could get a hold of the couple in the future, they wouldn’t say, so she called authorities.
