A nine-year-old southwest Iowa boy’s been arrested for selling pot. Villisca police chief Butch Rulla made the arrest after a mother overheard her son negotiating with the boy to make a marijuana purchase.Rulla says the boy lived with his father, and their home was searched and they seized over 12 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The boy, who was arrested on Mother’s Day, is charged with possession of marijuana, with intent to deliver marijuana, and with assault for another incident that occurred earlier. Rulla says the boy’s living situation wasn’t the best. Rulla says this is the youngest child he’s arrested for selling drugs — but not by much. A few years ago, Rulla arrested a 10-year-old boy for selling meth and marijuana.
