Bob Ferguson always thought he would return to the United States Hockey League. After six years in the professional ranks Ferguson has returned to coach the Des Moines Buccaneers, an organization he led from 1990-to-1995. He takes over a franchise that won six championships during the 90’s, including three national titles.Ferguson left Des Moines in 1995 after a second national title and spent the last three seasons as head coach of the Florida Everblades of the East Coast Hockey League. He says as the season went on he knew he was going to make a change and followed his heart to Des Moines.The U-S-H-L has expanded into larger markets and bigger arenas and Ferguson says the league has become unique in what it offers.Ferguson began his U-S-H-L career in Sioux City and led the Musketeers to a national championship.
