Governor Tom Vilsack says it’s time to quit talking about Tim McVeigh.During his weekly news conference this morning, Vilsack refused to talk about the death penalty and its use in this case. He said his thoughts instead focused totally on the victims of the tragedy.A Des Moines man witnessed Timothy McVeigh’s execution. Bill McCarthy’s 53-year-old brother, Jim, was killed in the bomb blast. McCarthy says McVeigh’s death doesn’t bring closure, but it does bring justice. McCarthy was one of about 30 witnesses to the execution, picked in a lottery among those who survived the bombing and relatives of bombing victims.
