Eight Iowans have been nominated for a top conservation award from the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation. Spokesperson Cathy Engstrom says the “Hagie Heritage Award” has been given out for 12 years.The award was established by the children of Lawrence and Eula Hagie of Moville to honor their parents.The nominees this year are: Robert Cerven of Stanton; Kamyar Enshayan of Cedar Falls; Leonard and Mildred Grimes of Marshalltown; Paul Harker of Cambridge; Robert Haug of Ames; George and Alyce Lowe of Marion, Mark Ogden of Cedar Rapids, and Pat McAdams and Glenda Buenger of Rose Hill (nominated for a joint project). The winner will be announced in mid-July.
