While the Internet offers plenty of health information, there are few resources that cater specifically to Iowans as one-stop health libraries. A new website, “www.HealthInfoIowa.org”, aims to be the authority for giving consumers statewide equal access to health information resources.Roy Kenagy is a spokesman for the State Library of Iowa, including the State Medical Library, which maintains the website. Kenagy says the site includes a variety of timely, simple, trustworthy consumer health information.Kenagy says there’s a serious need for reliable health information and he expects Iowans to flock to this website.He says the website was developed to help Iowa consumers and health care providers connect with authoritative information.
