The northeastern Iowa town of Center Point has declared a water emergency due to dry weather and residents are asked to conserve. The city’s pumping up to 250-thousand gallons of water a day, putting a strain on its pumps and chemical equipment. Residents should only do full loads of laundry and water their lawns on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 p-m until 6 a-m.
