Over 15-thousand road runners — and thousands more spectators took part in festivities in the Quad Cities this past weekend in an event which honors Bix Biederbecke– a local man who became a jazz legend. In addition to the Bix-7 road race, the jazz festival drew bands from all over the world. The Peoria jazz band came from Sweden.
