There won’t be a varsity schedule but there will be football at Morningside College this fall. The School dropped out of the North Central Conference and the N-C-A-A division-two classification after last season and will debut at the N-A-I-A level next year. In the meantime, new coach Steve Ryan has 50-players on campus and will play a club schedule this season.Ryan says the year of club football will not cost a year of eligibility for the players. He says it would be the same as redshirting at another university, but the good side is they’re playing instead of standing on the sidelines.Ryan says starting with 50-players is a good base.
