………………………………………………………………… A group of 15 or so state legislators from western Iowa will meet today in Carroll with another group of about a dozen education experts from the University of Northern Iowa.Tom Switzer is dean of U-N-I’s College of Education. He’s among the educators who’ll be taking part in today’s forum with lawmakers, which is slated to run from 10 a-m until 2 p-m.Dean Switzer says he isn’t going to the meeting to “beg” for a funding increase, knowing legislators have little money to work with in the next session. He says the goal of today’s meeting is for legislators and U-N-I officials to engage in a dialogue about key issues facing education in Iowa.
