A former West Union man is charged with arson after allegedly setting his home on fire to collect the insurance money. 60-year-old Ronald Hackley is accused of torching his one-story home in August of 2001. The fire was first thought to have been caused accidentally by a wiring problem, but was later determined to have been intentionally set. Hackley is being held in the Fayette County Jail under 20-thousand dollars bond. If convicted, he could face a decade in prison.
