A storm system loomed over northern Iowa for several hours overnight, dumping six to eight inches of rain — and more.A Forest City doctor’s office was flooded. Ceiling tiles collapsed and all of the carpet will have to be ripped out and replaced. Some areas near Thompson in Winnebago County report rainfall of nine-point-four inches along with hail the size of walnuts. Areas two miles west had no rain at all.
