Former Iowa State University wrestler Cael Sanderson returns to the mat this weekend as he wrestles for a spot on the U-S World team. Sanderson finished his collegiate career with a 159-0 record and four national championships. He’s been working as an assistant to the ISU athletic director since June 1st, and says he’s glad to get back to wrestling.Sanderson won the national open championship in April, so he won’t have to wrestle until Sunday. He says that gives him a huge advantage.Sanderson says he’s excited about getting the chance to represent his country.The championships in Minneapolis, Minnesota begin today and run through Sunday.
