A Center Point teenager is in custody after leading Cedar Rapids police on a high-speed chase Saturday. Police say 16-year-old Rodney Hines hit 70-miles an hour during the chase that ended when he crashed into an embankment. Hines and a passenger weren’t hurt. He faces numerous traffic charges including operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. The car was reported stolen in Center Point.
