Ready or not, the Northern Iowa basketball team opens the Missouri Valley race at home tonight against pre-season favorite Creighton.U-N-I coach Greg McDermott says it is not a good time to play the game because of his team’s inexperience. McDermott says at 4-0, Creighton is as good as advertised.McDermott says led by senior standout Kyle Korver, the Blue Jays are difficult to guard and share the basketball very well. Creighton coach Dana Altman says experience is a big factor in their quick start. He says the team knows what he wants and that’s helped them get off to a good start. Altman say the Blue Jays have shot the ball well but feels it has covered up some problems on defense.
