A Clinton man who was badly hurt in a hit-and-run accident in 2001 is getting a court settlement worth 875-thousand dollars. 38-year-old John Borah was riding his bike to his job at Wal-Mart when he was hit by a car driven by Charles Modlin. Borah was left with critical injuries that took several surgeries to correct. Modlin pleaded guilty to serious injury by vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident. Modlin got a suspended five-year sentence, spent 60 days in jail and performed community service.
