An outbreak of illnesses at a central Iowa wedding party are -not- believed to be related to a beef recall in Iowa and three other states. State health officials are analyzing catered food from a weekend wedding reception in the Des Moines area where dozens of people got sick. 54 guests at the Ankeny reception were treated for blood poisoning, 20 had to be admitted to hospitals overnight. Meanwhile, -no- illnesses are reported that relate to a beef recall that effects Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. More than a-thousand pounds of beef trim that was sent to distributors from a processor in Windom, Minnesota, is being called back due to concerns of possible E-coli contamination.
