A suburban Des Moines insurance agent has been charged with bilking clients. A former insurance agent who had his license revoked by the state last year is now charged with five felonies. State investigators say Roland Huff, Junior of Urbandale stole over 180-thousand dollars from eight elderly clients and charged his clients fees that’re prohibited by law. Huff has been charged with four counts of theft and “ongoing criminal conduct.” A spokesperson for the Iowa Insurance Division says investigators hope Huff’s arrest “will send a loud and clear message to insurance agents” that the state “will not tolerate deceptive sales practices.”
