An eastern Iowa boy who’s been missing since Sunday has been found, alive and well, in the eastern United States. Cedar Rapids police say seven-year-old Curtis LaBlanche was taken by his non-custodial mother from his legal guardian during a visit. Reports indicated 45-year-old Delillah LaBlanche was off her medication and considered dangerous. She was spotted, with the boy in tow, in Somerset Borough, Pennsylvania, last night panhandling on a street. Both LaBlanche and the boy were taken into custody without incident at a convenience store. The woman will be extradited back to Iowa to face Linn County charges of violating a custodial order. The boy is in state care in Pennsylvania — he’ll be returned soon too.
