The Iowa State women need a victory in their regular season finale at home tomorrow night against Kansas to finish the regular season with a winning record. Cyclone coach Bill Fennelly says after that the focus shifts to next week’s Big 12 Tournament in Dallas. He says it’s a great event that’s well run. He says they always go down and try to enjoy the tournament atmosphere, but also play hard when it comes time to play. I-S-U is 13-13 overall and will be one of the teams in the second half of the standings hoping to be a surprise. He says they’re going in hoping to catch lightening in a bottle.Kansas is just two-and-13 in the Big-12 and nine-and-17 overall but Fennelly expects the Jayhawks to play hard for long-time coach Marian Washington. She announced her retirement as coach last week after 31 years at the helm. The Cyclones are six-and-nine in conference play.
