Cleanup is underway this morning after nearly two-dozen cars of a Union Pacific freight train derailed last night in western Iowa, near Carroll. A total of 22 coal cars jumped the tracks near the community of River Junction. The train was enroute from Wyoming to Clinton. The U-P has to replace about two-thousand feet of damaged track. No injuries are reported. The cause of the derailment isn’t yet known.
