The Iowa Hawkeyes were finally on the other end of a cliff hanger on Wednesday night. Jeff Horner canned a 17-foot jumper with three-point-four seconds remaining as the Hawks edged Ohio State 74-72.Horner says the play was for him to come off a high pick, and he just pulled up and hit the shot. He finished with 25-points and was feeling confident at the end. He says he told the coaches he wanted the ball for the final shot and says he knew he would either be the hero or the goat. Horner says they got a good effort off the bench and from everyone on the team.Iowa coach Steve Alford said Horner had a great all-around game on a night in which he joined the Hawkeye one thousand point club. He says maybe start to finish in every phase of the game, it might’ve been Horner’s best game of the year. The Hawkeyes are 6-9 in the Big Ten and 18-10 overall. They conclude the regular season this weekend at Michigan.
