Iowa State basketball coach Wayne Morgan has added a former USC assistant to his Cyclone coaching staff. Eric Brown spent the last four years on Henry Bibby’s staff at Southern Cal and replaces former ISU assistant Bob Sunvold who left to coach the ABA’s Kansas City Knights. He says ISU has a great basketball tradition and he thinks it’s one of the up and coming programs in the country. Brown served as the offensive coordinator at USC and worked with the post players. This will be his first exposure to the Big-12 Conference. He says the Pac-10 is uptempo, but not very physical. He says from what he’s heard the Big-12 is a combination of both. As a California native who has spent his entire coaching career in that state next winter will be his first. He says he’s only heard stories about the winters. He says it’s a great job and if the winters come with it, so be it.Brown plans to be on the job next week.
