Western Iowa authorities have released the name of a woman who died late last week while trying to gather worms with an electrical shocking device. Joann Altheimer of Little Sioux was found in her yard on Friday. A preliminary investigation by the Harrison County Sheriff’s office revealed that Altheimer was apparently using a homemade shocking device on saturated ground in an attempt to bring earthworms to the surface. Altheimer was taken to the Missouri Valley Hospital where she was pronounced dead. n)
