There’s yet another sign that Iowa’s governor has his eyes on a higher office. Vilsack, who is pondering a presidential campaign, plans to be in New Hampshire on Labor Day weekend. He’s agreed to appear at the “Seacoast Democrats’ summer picnic” on September 4th. New Hampshire hosts the nation’s first primary in the presidential selection process and Vilsack’s appearance there is seen as a key sign he’s serious about a bid for the White House. Vilsack’s press secretary will only say that New Hampshire Governor John Lynch, a Democrat, asked Vilsack to come, and Vilsack accepted the invitation.
