A northwest Iowa man accused of shooting up his family’s vehicle is now facing seven new charges. Pocahontas County attorney Anne Beneke says Richard Guidry of Havelock is charged with 2 new counts of attempted murder, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, child endangerment, and 3 counts of willful injury. He was originally arrested on one count of attempted murder. Guidry’s accused of ramming his family’s minivan north of Pocahontas and firing several shots through the windshield. His 2-year-old son Tristan, his estranged wife Holly, and her boyfriend Scott Blasey were all injured. Guidry remains in the Pocahontas County jail, his arraignment set for October 3.
