Morningside coach Steve Ryan will give his players a chance to get home for Thanksgiving. The Mustangs are preparing for Saturday’s quarterfinal round of the NAIA playoffs when they host Evangel of Missouri. He says for most of the team it’s less than an hour or two to drive home. Morningside opened the playoffs with a 58-7 win over St. Ambrose. He says it was a positive as they played probably the best game of the year. Ryan says they are happy to get another home game. He says when you bus everywhere and aren’t used to staying in hotels, it’s important to sleep in your own bed and be comfortable.Morningside got off to a quick start in the win over St. Ambrose and Ryan says they would like to do that again.The Mustangs are 11-0 on the season.
