The governor of Iowa became the former governor this week, and the NEW governor became — the plaintiff in a lawsuit. State lawmakers gaveled into their 2007 legislative session and quickly got into a discussion about whether they ought to discuss the war in Iraq. The president’s speech on that war brought new orders for 640 Iowa National Guard soldiers the next day, and we buried a soldier this week who was lost in the war zone. An 11-year-old rape case was solved with new DNA technology, a stepfather was convicted of molesting Tracy Dyess, bio-tech cows are Mad-Cow proof, and drunk driving may be down because we’re testing fewer drivers. It’s all in the Radio Iowa Podcast.
