A construction accident in eastern Iowa has taken a life. It happened Tuesday morning in northeast Davenport.
An employee of a paving company was grading dirt on a steep embankment with a bulldozer when the embankment gave way.
The dozer rolled onto its side.
The worker, identified as 56-year-old Thomas H. McLachlan of Davenport, was trapped under the bulldozer and died at the scene.
