A jury is now seated for the third trial of a southeast Iowa man charged in the death of his pregnant wife. Twenty-three-year-old Seth Techel is accused of shooting his wife, Lisa Techel, as she was sleeping in their rural Agency home in May 2012.
His third trial is taking place in Davenport and jurors have been told it could take two weeks. Techel has claimed an unknown intruder killed his wife in May 2012. She was five months pregnant.
Last year, jurors in trials that took place in Mount Pleasant and Ottumwa were unable to reach a verdict, leading to mistrials.
