A Rockwell woman is accused of stealing up to $50,000 from her employer. Clear Lake police say 29-year-old Abigail Roberts was arrested Sunday on a warrant and was charged with first-degree theft and ongoing criminal conduct.
According to a criminal complaint from the Clear Lake Police Department, Roberts stole between $30,000 and $50,000 while working as a pharmacy technician at the Clear Lake Pharmacy between January 2012 and July of this year. In addition to stealing cash from the business, Roberts is accused of allegedly delivering medication to relatives without charging a co-pay.
Roberts was released from the Cerro Gordo County Jail on her own recognizance on Monday. She’s due to make an appearance in court on October 31st.
