LLWSGreat Lakes beat Midwest 14-4 in seven innings on Monday at Lamade Stadium after an 11-run explosion in the seventh inning.

Great Lakes scored in the seventh on a bases loaded walk by Michael Siemer, a walk by Devin Obee, a wild pitch, a two-run double by Spencer Newman, an RBI double by Turner Nottmeier, a groundout by Carson Myers, an RBI single by Mason Williams, a walk by Obee, and a two-run single by Newman.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with six lead changes.

Newman racked up four RBIs on four hits for Great Lakes.

Isaiah Head got the win in relief for Great Lakes. Head pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed one run.

Siemer was the game’s losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

After a quick strike from Great Lakes, Midwest responded with two runs in the fourth. Midwest scored on a two-run single by Miles Risley.
