Alford anxious to get into Big Ten play

Iowa coach Steve Alford says he is excited to see how the Hawkeyes will fare in the Big Ten race. Iowa opens league play at home on Wednesday night against Northwestern.Alford says Iowa lacks the experience that so often translates into success in the Big Ten.Alford says it will be fun to return to the Big Ten wars and coach against some of the teams he played against in college.Iowa is 6-5 on the season.
