Team loses its home field

The baseball team from Fort Dodge St. Edmond High School has suddenly founditself homeless.The team had always used the Iowa Central Community College ball field forpractice and for games, but neighbors who’d tired of fly balls in theiryards and parking problems in the area launched a petition drive. The driveyielded a court order prohibiting the St. Edmond team from using theCommunity College field. The team is now taking batting practice in thehigh school parking lot and going into the gym for infield practice.
