ISU art exhibit could help Loess Hills

An exhibit at the University museums at Iowa State University is heading forthe nation’s capital. The “Land of the Fragile Giants” art exhibit exploringthe unique aspects of the Loess Hills will go to Washington with a purpose.University museums director Lynnette Pohlman says both Iowa senators willuse to artwork to try to make Loess HIlls a national park.Pohlman says the use of artists to depict the scenic area was also done along time ago.There are only two other places in the world with similar silt-formed hills.They are located in Germany and China.
