Basketball recruit expected to go with Hawkeyes

Another senior-to-be is expected to announce he will play basketball atIowa. 6-9 center Sean Sonderlieter from Des Moines Christian has scheduled aThursday morning news conference to make it official. Sonderlieter helpedlead Des Moines Christian to a runner-up finish in Class 1A this past seasonand caught the eye of the scouts with the amount of improvement he showedbetween his sophomore and junior seasons. Van Coleman of Future Stars saysSonderlieter could play center in college.Colkeman says his stock has risen in the last year.Sonderleiter would be the second junior-to-be to commit to Iowa. Earlier,Iowa City West forward Glen Worley announced he intends to sign with Iowa.
