Dole calls for more farmer support

Republican presidential candidate Elizabeth Dole says America’s farmers needMORE help this year than last.Dole says a farm aid package of MORE than six-billion dollars should bepassed by Congress and signed by the President.Dole’s campaign staff is telling crowds the Iowa Republican Party’s upcomingstrawpoll in Ames has become MORE important than the Iowa Caucuses. Doledrives home this point, too.Dole spoke this weekend in Des Moines, Newton, Oskaloosa and Pella. Shespeaks today at two Des Moines-based insurance companies, then travels topublic forums in Atlantic, Red Oak and Council Bluffs.
