UNI interviews AD prospect

The first of four finalists has been interviewed for the vacant post ofAthletic Director at the University of Northern Iowa. Bill O’Neill iscurrently an Associate Athletic Director at Southwest Missouri State andsays while he likes his current job the U-N-I position would be a greatchallenge.O’Neill says having served at S-M-S makes him familiar with U-N-I and theMissouri Valley conference.U-N-I is in the process of trying to raise money for a new basketball arena.O’Neill feels that is very important for the future.O’Neill says the first role of an athletic director it to communicate.
