Three plead guilty in girl’s meth death

Three people have pleaded guilty to federal charges in connection with thedeath of a Burlington girl from a methamphetamine overdose.The mother of the youngest Iowan to die from a meth overdose pleaded guiltyyesterday to federal drug dealing charges. 39-year-old Leanora Cresswellof Burlington could face a sentence of 20 years to life. Two other peopleare charged after the death last fall of 14-year-old Jessica Smith.
