Flooding splits Waverly

The town of Waverly was split in two Thursday by the flooding Cedar River. Travel is not recommended in surrounding Bremer County because a number ofsecondary and gravel roads have been flooded or washed out. Len Swattleyowns a printing business in Waverly.He says all the equipment is stacked up and they’ve put sandbags around thebuilding.The floodwaters are expected to head south to Waterloo and Cedar Fallstoday.
