Governor changes habits, lose weight

Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack has picked up the pace of his exercise and changedhis diet. Vilsack is running about five days a week. The Governor ran in the10-kilometer “Dam to Dam” race in Des Moines earlier this summer and plansto run in the Bix Road Race in Davenport this coming weekend. Vilsack says running is now a regular part of his routine and he has alsoswitched to the much-talked-about “protein diet.”Vilsack hasn’t weighed himself, measuring his progress by which belt loop heuses. By that method, he’s down “three belt loops.”
