Pella plans new Iowa plant

Pella Corporation will build a 19-million dollar window-making plant in thenorthwest Iowa town of Sioux Center. Jennifer De Boef, aspokeswoman for the company, says the plant will initially employtwo-hundred. De Boef says over 40 different sites were considered for thenew facility, which will produce a top-of-the-line window.Ground will be broken for the plant on August 20 and Pella Corporationofficials plan to move in next April. Pella Corporation has plants inCarroll, Shenandoah, Story City and Pella and employs five-thousand Iowans.
